The hotel had a charming and cozy decoration, with beautiful carpets and paintings that gave it a warm and inviting atmosphere. The general areas were well-maintained and offered plenty of seating options, making it easy for senior people like myself to find a comfortable spot to relax. Additionally, the hotel was easily accessible, with ramps and elevators available for those with mobility issues.
I would have preferred if the children working there were more attentive to the needs of senior guests.

The service was great! I asked at the reception on the day of arrival if they forgot to lay out the towels. The lady at the reception immediately noted down the room number, asked if I looked in the bathroom and there were none. I did look there, but I was lying behind the shower curtain on a shelf (in retrospect unnecessary on my part) and accordingly I did not see them. I just went for a quick smoke and when I was back in the room, new towels had already been brought by the housekeeping (it was about 11 pm in the evening) - really great service on site. But also the other ladies that weekend were very attentive, greeted every time when passing by and always had a smile on their faces. If I should stay overnight in Bochum again, this is my first address. And the breakfast buffet is simply top, worth every cent. I haven't had such a rich offer for a long time;
I'm not a fan of shower trays - I like a shower (and a bathtub), but not combined. But everything was clean and not even the joints had 'dark spots', as you have often seen elsewhere.

The location is ideal for visitors of the musical! Furthermore there are good restaurants nearby, the planetarium, and also the Medi-Therme is less than 10 km away. The room is clean, the room size (double bed wonderfully large) very pleasant. In the room there is the possibility to provide yourself with tea and coffee in between. No matter with which person we had contact in the hotel: without exception all of them were of natural friendliness.
2,50 € per day for WLan is no longer up to date! You can see the traces of many years in the furniture in one place or another, but that is not disturbing. The breakfast is good, varied - but with 19 € per person too expensive. Unfortunately, there was a big container before the offer to prepare omelettes, fried eggs etc. in the kitchen, so we only discovered the offer when we started to clear the buffet.

The decoration of the hotel was beautiful, with tasteful furnishings that made me feel right at home. The general areas, such as the lobby and seating areas, were cozy and inviting, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a cup of tea. As a senior woman, I appreciated the hotel's accessibility, with well-lit hallways and easily accessible elevators, making it easy for me to navigate the hotel without any issues.
I would have preferred if the staff were more attentive and helpful, especially towards senior guests like myself. It would have been nice if they were more knowledgeable about local attractions and events, and if they offered assistance without needing to be asked.

Internet. First day it wasn't working at all. Next day it was fixed, but still very slow...

Great place to stay with private parking in the basement, good gym and sauna. Great rooms and a good restaurant/breakfast and bar. Surrounded by a park for working/running.
Little bit too far away from restaurants etc. especially in winter time.

The guestrooms at Parkhotel Bochum by stays were absolutely amazing! The beds were so comfy and the workspaces were perfect for catching up on emails. Plus, the free WiFi was a huge bonus! Oh, and did I mention the view of the park from the room? So lovely!
Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the shower/tub combination in the private bathroom. But hey, that's just me.

I liked that it was close enough to downtown to walk in, but was out of downtown and next to a park which provided for a quiet serene setting. Fantastic rest, bar and staff was extremely friendly.
Nothing. All was great.
